hello there!

hello,

thanks for popping in, I am sorry the site is all a little spartan right now, I am about the size of a house and due to have a baby very, very soon. My nesting instincts have me stitching up a storm of baby clothes and cleaning the house like I have never cleaned before, leaving my poor little shop empty.

The plan is to get back to work by mid 2011, if you would like to be told when the shop is up and running then just send an email to angharad.jefferson@yahoo.co.uk, and i will add you to my mailing list.

thank you, and wish me luck!

“Yesh”

Oh my dear Mr Connery.  When I approach a subject for embroidery, I am attracted to those who are part tragic, part comic.  Most are aware of their comic status.  Some are not.

Here is my Connery, a lounge lizard splendid on his shiny background.

The black lines of the illustration are formed using a combination of hand embroidery and freehand machine stitching.  The white cotton is appliqued, the stitched lines lightly quilting the fabrics.  Shown here as a wall piece, “Yesh” is also available as a cushion.

Tom, we love your moustache!

Magnum P.I made Selleck famous, at least in my house; but not as famous as his moustache.

Hand embroidered, Tom’s most famous feature is highlighted using a vintage fabric.  The fabric face is appliqued onto a tomato toned fabric.  Shown here as an embroidery stretched onto a wooden frame, for mounting on your wall, Tom is also available as a cushion. Or if you prefer, a pillow.

Rab

Rab C Nesbitt, a truly unique scot, at least outside of Govan.

Like the original, this design cannot to be repeated.  The amazing orange and green tartan, was a one off find and all used up;  to make this large canvas and cushion.  The black line of the drawing is created using a combination of hand embroidery and freehand machine stitching, the white fabric is appliqued and quilted through the tartan background. Available from my online shop.

Twit, Twoo

The owl.  In my opinion the best of all the birds.  This owl looks you directly in the eye and dares you not to like him.

The illustration is described using a combination of hand stitching and freehand machine drawing, the inky black line quilting the fabric.  This design is available as an embroidery, stretched on a wooden frame to hang on the wall, or as a cushion.  The ceramic birds and pup shown with the cushion are by the lovely cosima at kitty and dude.

Hilda in her curlers

Hilda Ogden, with your voice like breaking glass, and your temper to match, you parody the women of my fella’s nightmares.

If I didn’t already love you for your pinny and rollers, I would adore you for the flying ducks.

Shown here as a wall piece, the drawing is composed of appliqued fabrics, the inky black lines embroidered both by hand and drawn freehand on the sewing machine.  She is also available as a cushion.

Hamish, the Cheeky Westie

(All Westie’s are called Hamish,  I believe it is an ancient scottish law.)

Whether he is embroidered as a cushion panel, or  stretched over a wooden frame and mounted on your wall, Hamish is designed to delight you with his bright eyes and impudent tongue. Available from my online shop.
